Book Titles that Remind Me of Songs

I love when books are titled after songs. Sometimes it's on purpose, like these:

Whenever I see those covers, I get The Beatles' "Across the Universe" and U2's "With or Without You" stuck in my head. This is no doubt done purposely, to give the prospective reader a taste of the novel's tone. I haven't read either of these books yet, though, so I can't say for sure.

But it's kind of funny when titles remind me of things the author and publisher cannot have anticipated. Like how this...

Reminds me of this...

  1. LOL! I tend to be reminded of songs, like when someone says I believe. I want to burst into a Tears for Fears song. :O)

  2. I was wondering if I was the only one who broke out into The Beatles when I heard the title Across the Universe. ;)

  3. Funny, we know the titles are songs also, but we don't get them stuck in our heads. :P

Btw, if anyone wants to win a copy of Across the Universe, we're giving it away and tomorrow is the last day to enter! http://www.weheartya.com/2011/07/whats-in-name.html

  4. It's not quite the same thing, but I've developed this crazy connection in my head between Aussie author Kate Morton and Aussie singer Sarah Blasko, because I listened to the latter while reading the last book of the former. Whenever I hear one of Sarah Blasko's songs now, it takes me back to the world of Kate Morton's fiction!
